Imani Hamilton,
Director of Investments, TCIG
Imani Hamilton is the Director of Investments for The Collective Investment Group and leads the firm’s overall strategy and investment process. She is also responsible for managing the daily operations for The Philadelphia Real Estate Impact Fund.
Imani is a finance professional with over 15 years of experience. She spent 7 years as a commercial real estate lender where she underwrote and financed well over $100 million in real estate construction loans for market rate developments and low income housing tax credit projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to that, she spent 9 years in actuarial science on the property and casualty side, where she assessed the risks of financial institutions, medical professionals and business owners to forecast insurance premiums.
Imani is committed to strengthening the financial acumen in marginalized communities to help increase property and business ownership. Her fervency for numbers and helping others has led to the property acquisition for individuals and organizations alike. She also provides financial classes in the areas of financial literacy, homeownership, corporate financial statements and commercial real estate financing. Imani further shares her gifts and talents with the community through the Board of Directors of Rebuilding Together Philadelphia and Board of Trustees of her local church.
Imani earned an MBA from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, where she concentrated in Real Estate and Finance. She also holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Clark Atlanta University. In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
