Stuart Hean,

Director of Investments, TCIG

Stuart Hean is the Director of Investments for The Collective Investment Group and leads the firm’s overall strategy and investment process. He is also responsible for managing the daily operations for The Philadelphia Real Estate Impact Fund.

Stuart is an economic development professional with 7+ years of experience leading community development and impact investing initiatives. Prior to joining TCIG, Stuart worked as Director of Leasing and Development for Shift Capital – a place based social impact development firm in Philadelphia, where he designed and implemented lease-up strategies across 2MM square feet of commercial real estate. In this role, Stuart also acted as a project manager for numerous strategic initiatives interfacing with under-served entrepreneurs and small business owners as part of Shift’s inclusive development strategy. Prior to Shift, Stuart worked to support the C-Suite at Reinvestment Fund, and held a dual role as a research coordinator with the Penn Institute for Urban Research and the Wharton Real Estate Department.

Stuart holds a B.A in Psychology from Haverford College, with a minor in Environmental Studies. His career focus is on promoting equitable development, and meaningful wealth building strategies within marginalized communities. In his spare time, you can find Stuart tending his community garden plot at the Woodlands in West Philly, or taking photos somewhere in the Fairmount Park System.
